United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities invites applications for a tenure track position: Assistant/Associate Professor and Lead Faculty for Social Transformation and Leadership. Responsibilities include: teaching four courses per academic year at the graduate (seminary) level along with some administrative oversight (curriculum, quality control of program, and engagement with administrative staff around student recruitment and retention). Regular faculty expectations also include engaging in scholarly activity (research, conferences, publications), advising students, and serving on seminary committees.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in an area concerned with or related to social transformation (combination of practical theology or ethics and leadership studies preferred). Emphasis on racial justice and/or some other aspect of social justice work and experience in church ministry and/or faith-based social justice work desirable. ABD candidates will be considered; PhD must be completed within 1 year of start date. Minorities and women especially encouraged to apply.
