Tenure Track Faculty Position in Pastoral Care, Trauma and Spirituality (Open Rank) 

Boston College’s School of Theology and Ministry (STM) seeks to appoint a tenure-track professor in Pastoral Care, with relevant expertise in the areas of trauma and spirituality; rank is open. This appointment will be within the STM’s Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry (DREPM), to begin in the Fall 2022. Position Qualifications 

Candidates should have a PhD in Theology and appropriate credentials in the areas related to the position. Clinical experience in the practice of counseling is desired, but not a requirement. Candidates should possess a commitment to theological education for lay and ordained ministry; familiarity with Roman Catholic polity and pastoral life is essential. Candidates must provide evidence of a well-defined research agenda. 

Candidates should be prepared to teach courses in areas such as pastoral care; trauma and spirituality; gender and racial equality; conflict resolution.
