Pope Francis is coming to the United States soon and his time in NYC is generating a great deal of theological inquiry through the media, in classrooms, in religious communities, and even on the streets (yes, I recently overheard men playing chess in Union Square arguing about it). The Center for Migration Studies in NYC has put together a terrifically focused paper on “Pope Francis and Migrants,” which will be of potential interest to many practical theologians who work in Roman Catholic or ecumenical contexts, or who engage matters of migration today.
