I am happy to let you know that I’ll be teaching “Faith in Music: Sound Theology from the Blues to Beyoncé,” a free, public, online course. This course is a collaboration between the Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education at Fordham University, and WFUV (90.1 FM).
This venture is no less experimental than much of my other theological work, and I have been energized by the preparation and am excited to see how it goes. I am delighted that Fordham has taken this step in providing free theological education to the public. With lots of music fans and spiritually-interested, theologically-curious people from around the USA and hopefully various parts of the world, the opportunities for personal exploration and wide-ranging conversation will be many.
