The 32nd Association for Theological Field Education (ATFE) biennial consultation will take place from January 23rd to 26th 2013 in Williamsburg, VA. The Theme is: From Pasts to Possiblities. The 2013 Consultation is designed to give participants opportunities to reflect on our pasts and together anticipate some of the changes unfolding around us that are already impacting the demands placed on pastoral ministers, as well as on the way we will educate for pastoral ministry today and in the future. We recognize that as the social, cultural, and ecclesial contexts change over time, theological field education must continually examine its goals and practices as it sits at the juncture of church, academy, and world. Our two main plenary speakers are Dr. Kwok Pui Lan and Dr. Bobby McClain who willset the tone for our discussions about the unceasing movement between pasts and possibilities.
