The Association of Practical Theology is a not-for-profit organization registered in the state of New Jersey. In the interest of creating increased access across income levels and career status to our events and meetings, we accept donations to defray costs for those who request scholarship help for registration fees, travel costs, and access to sufficient internet bandwidth. Priority for these funds are given to graduate students and international participants, but we will also consider other requests as funds allow.
The Association of Practical Theology (APT) promotes critical discourse that integrates theological reflection and practice. Reconstituted from its predecessor organizations 1984, the APT was sparked by the investigation of practical theology as an integrative hermeneutical endeavor at the heart of theological education, characterizing not only the ministerial sub-disciplines but also a manner and method of engaged reflection.
